Ridvan celebrates Baha’u’llah’s time in 1863 in the garden of Ridvan in Baghdad when He publicly declared His station as a Manifestation of God. The Ridvan Festival is 12 days long and is also the time of year when Baha’is elect their governing bodies.
This month marks the 150th anniversary of Baha’u’llah’s arrival in the Holy Land. To commemorate, the Baha’i World News Service is launching a series of podcast episodes dedicated to exploring the historical and spiritual context of this event. This episode focuses on Baha’u’llah’s arrival to the fortress city of Akka and events in the period that immediately followed it.
