5 Year Plan Talks by Tom Price

Baha’i music composer Tom Price recently gave a series of three talks about the Five Year Plan at the Tennessee Baha’i School. With his permission, Baha’i Blog is pleased to share with you the talks to stream from our site or to download – and best of all, it’s completely free!

The study of the 5 Year Plan is something we’ve all been encouraged to do, and we hope these talks will help you with this. We know that anyone who has ever heard Tom Price speak will be frantically clicking away at the download buttons, and for those of you who have yet to tune in to one of Tom’s talks, you’re in for a treat!

Thanks for making these available. Very interesting, informative, inspiring, and i like the sense of humour “Epochal Magnitude” cracks me up, but yah the depth of insight and particularly the focus on “Transformation” and putting into practise….i love it, and he mentioned other talks and making these available, the full series of around 8 hours…do you have access to these? Can you put me in touch with Tom Price. I volunteer for the Bahai Distribution Service SA and i would love to, if Tom gives us permission, to make CD copies availble to friends for listening in their cars and ipods and homes etc. What do you think?

Tom will be giving us access to the talks as he gives them, and we’ll be posting them up on Baha’i Blog for sure.

This is one of the most inspiring talks regarding the Five Year Plan and
the December 28 Letter from the Universal House of Justice
that I have heard.

I love the analogies which have helped me to grasp more of the
important concepts of the plan and what my role is.

Although I find deconstructing fatiguing I managed to stay alert and even enjoy this. I would like to hear the rest, especially on Prejudice. I am particularly interested to hear about the prejudices , such as the stigma towards the mentally ill that demonizes them, and also criminalizes them and their,often, companions – substance abusers and users. And other such invisibilities of the old and sick. Those very prejudices of omission or commission that accompanies all stereotyping of a subgroup that is perceived to be deviant. I would be interested to hear Tom speak to this as the net, and this new site,can contribute much to the housebound becoming part of something community-like, which I hope you had planned for, on the web.

ACTION: In Portland, OR, with encouragement from our Area Teaching Committee (ATC), a small, but growing number of believers, meet weekly to listen to the Talks by Tom Price on The Five Year Plan, 2011-2016. Individuals are given clipboards, pencils and copies of the current Five Year Plan. We listen, take notes and consult over bread and soup in a Baha’i home. Each Baha’i focuses upon his own role in the Plan and shares it, enabling the host to report back to the ATC.

SHARING: Portland, Oreon is grateful to have a Baha’i Center. We started gathering at the Center on Thursday mornings for 3 hours. Today 6 Baha’is, including a pioneer from Panama listened to Talk #3, “The Hight Calling of the Five Year Plan,” took notes and consulted at length. The Baha’is included those with or without Internet access. NEXT: Each participant is to invite another Baha’i for ongoing reading and study of The Plan on Thursdays at the Center. This number will grow!
