Hello and welcome to the newly relaunched Baha’i Blog! I’m Preethi, your friendly editor, who together with Collis, Naysan and Vahid, make up the Baha’i Blog team. So, what exactly is Baha’i Blog? Baha’i Blog is a project which aims to create a cosy little nook in the blogosphere for Baha’is and friends of the Faith alike. As Baha’is, we all know what it’s like to live with an awareness that you truly do have family (spiritual, if not biological) all over the world. This blog aims to mirror that by creating an online community around the Baha’i Faith and connecting people from all over the world.

Baha’i Blog first found life as a project run by Ryan Lash some years back, but with his hectic travel schedule, Ryan kindly permitted the site to be recreated and relaunched as you see it now. We’ve gone live on Naw-Ruz 2011 and in our first few months will be working on making the blog an online resource where Baha’is and friends of the Faith around the world are able to access a wealth of information.

Want to find out more about that conference halfway across the world that has tickled your fancy? Need some ideas on how to hold the attention of your children’s class for more than 10 seconds at a time? Or maybe, you’ve exhausted the number of times a person can refresh their Facebook news feed and think that reading short opinion pieces by Baha’is from all over the world might be an alternative (and hopefully, more rewarding!) method of procrastination. Whatever it is you’re after, Baha’i Blog aims to become that one-stop resource for you.

While this is a project that has been spearheaded by the our little team of bloggers, ultimately, we’d like to see the site become something that truly belongs to the whole Baha’i community. We hope to see Baha’i Blog – in it’s own, special, slightly geeky way – support and facilitate the work that’s being done in the Baha’i world. Know of an event/link/resource that other Baha’is might be interested in? Get in touch with us. Have an idea for an article that you think our readers might want to read? Make a suggestion! Or better still, write the article and send it in to us! There are so many ways you can contribute and be part of this.

If you have feedback about the site, suggestions on how we can make it better, or just want to voice your support, please do leave a comment as we’d love to hear from you!

We really hope you stick around for what we are positive will be an exciting journey in 2011. We’d love to have you on board!

    Sounds good.
I am teaching Bahai Children Classes at the moment. It would be a good way to be in touch with other teachers around the world!
