In this video created by the Washington DC Baha’i community in honor of the 200th Anniversary of the Birth of Baha’u’llah, we get an overview of the Washington DC Baha’i community, its history and its efforts at community building.

This year marks the 200th anniversary of the Birth of Baha’u’llah, the Prophet-founder of the Baha’i Faith, and Baha’is and their friends around the world celebrated this special occasion. You can learn more about the life of Baha’u’llah on Bahaullah.org and experience some of the many global celebrations and initiatives here on the bicentenary website.

The DC Baha’is should look up and pray at the African American Civil War Memorial across the street from the AA Civil War Museum (not the new one) and spot Thorton Chase’ name on it… twice… for the two black regiments he served in. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thornton_Chase#Civil_War_service
