The Intellectual Life of the Baha’i Community: ABS Lecture by Dr. Arbab

September 23, 2016, in Videos > Talk, by

In this video, produced by the Association for Baha’i Studies, Dr. Farzam Arbab delivers the keynote lecture at the 2016 ABS Conference in Montreal. Dr. Arbab’s talk is titled “The Intellectual Life of the Baha’i Community”.

Dr. Arbab, former member of the Universal House of Justice, speaks about the dynamics of the intellectual pursuits of the Baha’i community in the 34th H. M. Balyuzi Memorial Lecture. He explores how we should endeavour to discover solutions to the problems of humanity, seek knowledge and develop our intellectual capacity. He discusses three conditions needed in order for us to develop intellectually and bring about enlightenment: courage, a lack of elitism, and the harmony of science and religion.
